Vintage VHS Video Tape The Streetfighter
An extremely rare find and certain to produce intense interest amongst the serious vintage VHS collectors and ‘Brono” fans alike.
The producers had intended to release this film under the title "The Street Fighter", but when the Shin'ichi Chiba film of the same name came out first in 1974, they reverted to the original screenplay title. It is for this reason that nearly all copies of this movie bear the title “Hard Times” and, as a global internet search will reveal, trying to locate a copy of the original version will prove extremely difficult.
Only the Japanese version appears to exist and it is primarily this factor that makes this edition particularly rare and sought after. Whilst the provenance of this early version (CVT 10031) is unclear, it’s scarcity on the world collector’s market can only add to it’s investment potential.
This copy is in good condition and is unclassified, It comes in the original blue RCA Columbia clamshell case and, as can be seen in the photo, the artwork is unique to this version.
